WileyDesign owner and visual identity expert, Carol Wiley, has spent the majority of her career working as a graphic designer. She also oversees Marketing Communications for a bank with 10 branches in Eastern Colorado. Carol’s aim is to continue to broaden her considerable experience in Identity Design and Communications to assist current and future clients.

She has a degree in Fine Arts and Communication from Southern Illinois University. What has she learned from her experience as a business owner? Visual impact and aesthetics are important, but so are making deadlines, considering budgets, and ultimately influencing customers with deliverables that tell their story, are concise, enjoyable, and easy to use.

Manager of Corporate Design

Before starting her own business, Carol was manager of corporate design for the footwear giant — Caleres (previously Brown Shoe Company), maker of brands such as Naturalizer, Famous Footwear, Buster Brown, etc.,  Carol was a key player in the company’s name change and branding in 2000. Responsible for overseeing corporate brand consistency globally, she designed signage for overseas offices, corporate ads, websites, annual reports, newsletters and art directed fashion, retail and event photography.

Located in the Denver area, Carol owns WileyDesign, (since October 2005) cwileydesign.com which is a full-service creative studio specializing in identity programs and marketing communications.
